There has been a tremendous amount of coverage to date re: the concert
atop base camp. Here are the topline most exciting hits to date:
- USA Today -- on the front cover of the Life section on 10/22 and
online at USATODAY.com
- Associated Press - we were able to work with the writer of the first
AP story to write another one. This story has been everywhere from the
China Post to the International Herald Tribune to Yahoo! News. It has
seen a lot of nice pick up - probably one of the reasons the web site
everestrocks.com went down temporarily.
- Associated Press TV - they were able to use the footage we sent and
put together a package that was distributed across the globe. In the
US and Canada, initial tracking reports indicate that the story was
picked up in 32 markets(!!), including major cities: Chicago, Houston,
Memphis, Buffalo, Toronto, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Miami,
and Denver! This syndicated story reached close to 1 million people
They, too, will be doing another story once the team gets down from
the mountain.
- Voice of America - ran a syndicated story that is distributed to their
40+ language services for their radio programs, and the producer also
forwarded the information and links to other colleagues in the radio
and TV divisions.

the still photos.
